God is our Creator, Savior and ruler of the universe. He is known to us in three “persons”: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ is the divine Son of God, the express “image of the invisible God” (Colossians 1:15). Jesus left heaven to live among us. He was born of the Holy Spirit (virgin birth) and lived a sinless life. Jesus made the perfect and ultimate sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on the cross. He rose from the dead to demonstrate His power over death and sin. He ascended into heaven and will return again to earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
The Holy Spirit sent as promised by Jesus following His ascension into heaven, lives within every believer. He is our teacher who provides understanding of spiritual truth. He is also our comforter and the power-source for Christian living. He gives every believer at least one spiritual gift which we are to use for the glory of God and building others up.
The Bible is of divine origin, inspired by God through human instruments to carry out His revealed truth. Holy Scripture is the supreme source of truth for Christian belief and living. Because it is inspired by God, the Bible is untainted by error in everything that it teaches.
The Church is the body of all those who put their faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. The mission of the church is to embody God’s love and grace, to witness to Jesus Christ in word and deed, to guide people to faith in Christ and to assist their growth in discipleship.
